CHRIST THE KING COLLEGE

KING’S STUDENTS ORGANIZATION

S.Y. 2010-2011

The KING’S STUDENT ORGANIZATION (KSO) is the official Student Council of the College Department of Christ the King College. It was established to promote and provide leadership development oppurtunities in preparing and emppowering student leaders to serve the school and community.

The organization is mainly composed of the officers, all college students as its members and a moderator. They served as the school’s partner in living out its vision and mission; implementing rules and policies; and conducing activities for the integral development of students into men and women of FAITH, EXELLENCE and SERVICE.

The Organization essentially functions to:

· build and implement rules, policies, and regulations to the students to practice and achieve harmony, peace and unity.

· serve the College students and the institution with all its might and capacity.

· create, initiate and execute programs and activities that are significant to the students by molding, developing and upholding physical and mental abilities and spirituality.

· listen and carry out the voice of the College students regarding their concerns and issues on the school and finds reasonable solutions for the common good.

· develop student’s love for God and country, moral character, personal discipline

· support the departmental and institutional programs and activities that encourage integral development of students.

· help in inculcating and upholding the institution’s core values of Faith, Excellence and Service to the students as primary witnesses.

Of Jayson S. Digamon

If I have come this far…

I have all the reasons to remember

And rejoice the harvest of the season.

If I have come this far…

Let me not forget the people who have made

my dreams to last.

It is also true that we need the span and the freedom to make our own mistakes. Trial and error seem to be the only way we can learn and grow. Life is first and foremost a process. And this process is a zigzag process at that”

Mr. Jayson S. Digamon is a 3^rd year student of Christ the King College, Gingoog City taking up Bachelor in Secondary Education major in English. He is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Romel Digamon, born on January 26, 1991 in a small municipality of Bohol.

Jayson grows up with one definite ambition in life and that is to become a teacher. He began his educational venture at Quezon Primary School, Batuan, Bohol where he was fortunate to receive valedictorian award upon graduation on the year 2001. After accomplishing primary level, he was enrolled at Batuan Central Elementary School for 2 years finishing his elementary education fortunately graduated With Honors. His dream to become a teacher still remains and despite financial incapacity, he tried his best to obtain a scholarship enabling him to continue his Secondary Education. With the Lord’s help, he was able to top a scholarship examination consequently exempts him from all school fee obligations at Saint Anthony Academy, Batuan, Bohol. After four years, he finished at last and graduated With Honors in the year 2007.

After High School Graduation he has certainly no idea as to how could his parents sustain his College Degree. His parents have no enough financial capacity to send Jayson in an institution where he can study and take up a course he has dreamed of. For that reason, he decided to stop studying for one academic year and went with his aunt to a place he never knew, Gingoog City. He babysitted her aunt’s child hopeful to earn something for his schooling. For more than a year of sacrifice he was able to study at Christ the King College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education, his field of interest.

Now, he is very optimistic to graduate soon for he knows that he has friends to whom he can lean on, parents whose love and support is undying, efficient teachers who has greatly contributed to his development as a person and as a would-be teacher, most of all be grateful to omniscient God who gives him guidance, enlightenment and protection.
